reconstitution of the House of Africa was undertaken on a very solid scientific
bases, with the guarantee of the National Institute of Heritage, by a team led
by of Hedi Slim, curator of the site, including Jean Claude Golvin, director of
research at the CNRS, Khaled Karoui, chief officer of the protected sites section
and architect at the National Institude of Heritage and Mabrouk Hamrouni, who
supervised the actual implementation works. |

| Placed
under the auspices of the Ministry of Culture, this project was made possible
thanks to the substantial financial support provided by the Agence de Mise en
valeur du patrimoine et de la promotion Culturelle (Tunisia) and the valuable
backing by the Institut Français de coopération in Tunis, the municipality
of El Jem and the city of Romans. The Marseilles School of Architecture (GAMSAU)
carried out the virtual three dimensions model of the residence. |
